Physical Education

Curriculum

We believe in creating positive relationships with physical activity for life. We aim to do this by:

  • Using Jasmine Real PE.
  • Educating the children in a holistic approach (social, physical, creative, health and fitness, personal and cognitive.)
  • Having fun whilst being active.
  • Having activities and challenges for everyone, no matter the ability.

Early Years (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1)

Children will develop fundamental movement skills (running, jumping, throwing and catching) and will become more confident through striving for accuracy at these skills. The children will experience a wide range of opportunities to better their agility, balance and co-ordination, both individually and with their peers. We engage the children in competitive and co-operative activities of increasingly challenging situations. A key part of KS1 is perseverance.  It is important the children learn that they may not always succeed the first time, they must keep trying and then they will succeed.
